The Community Birth & Doula Initiative identity was designed to reflect care, continuity, and collective strength. The central mark features overlapping heart shapes forming a circle—symbolizing connection, inclusion, and the cyclical nature of birth and community. The layered forms subtly reference a quilt pattern, evoking warmth, protection, and support.
Typography was selected to balance warmth and clarity. The primary fonts convey approachability and compassion while maintaining the distinctiveness and professionalism necessary to engage policymakers and institutional partners. The color palette pairs vibrant colors with grounding neutrals inspired by a range of human skin tones to reinforces inclusivity, representation, and equity at the heart of the initiative’s mission.
Beyond the visual identity, I created a user-friendly design system. With cohesive icons, customizable Canva social templates, and editable email designs, the team is equipped to produce consistent branded communications without outside support.
The result is a strategically positioned, inclusive brand that strengthens advocacy and builds trust across audiences.
